At Los Gatos, Rachel rowed and played water polo. In 2002 she finished second at US Rowing Nationals in the 4+ and finsihed third at Junior World Championships held in Lithuania in the 8+. Then in 2003, she went to Junior Worlds again - this time to Athens, Greece, and finished second in the 8+. She played water polo all four years of high school and was named MVP for three of those years.
At Yale, Jeffers has rowed on the V8+ all three years and won all three medals at Eastern Sprints, winning bronze her freshman year, gold her sophomore year and silver her junior year. In her freshman year, she also won a silver at NCAAs. In both her sophomore and junior years, she was named to All New England and All American teams, and in 2006 she won a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Eton, England rowing in a 4-.
Rachel is a senior in Branford College and is Captain of the women's crew team.
