No. 3 Bulldogs Sweep Competition Against Penn and Columbia

The No. 3 Bulldogs won all four events they competed in on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, besting both Penn and Columbia in every race to win the Connell Cup. The Elis won the Varsity Eight and Varsity Four races as well as coming in first in both novice events.

In the Varsity Eight race, the Elis finished with a time of 6:29.0, nearly seven seconds faster than second-place Penn. The Varsity Four "A" crew earned a time of 7:36.4 for first place, while the "B" boat came in thrird with a time of 7:59.3.

In the first Novice event, Yale took first with a time of 6:56.8, a full nine seconds in front of Penn's second place team, and the second Novice team rounded out Yale's sweep with a first place time of 6:34.6.

The Elis travel to Ithaca, NY next weekend to compete against Cornell and Syracuse. They will not return home until Saturday, April 24.
