BOSTON, Mass. - This past Sunday afternoon, the Yale women's crew team sent three rowers to compete at the Crash B Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships. Two of the three Bulldogs at the event, Jamie Redman and Taylor Ritzel, placed in the top ten in the open women's event.
Redman finished fifth overall and second among collegiate athletes with her 2K time of 6:56.5. Freshman Ritzel finished three seconds back with her time of 6:59.5, good enough for tenth overall and fifth amongst collegiate competitors. Senior Amanda Rich also competed at the event, finishing 25th overall 17th in the collegiate rankings with a time of 7:13.6.
Yale was the only collegiate crew to place two rowers in the top ten of the open women's event. Complete results from the Crash B Sprints can be found at the official website.
