Before Yale: Started fencing at eight years old under Ned Light, who admitted her to his program a year early "due to two years of insistent begging" ... Had seen Light do a fencing demonstration at a barmitzvah and fell immediately in love with the sport ... Began training at Mid-South Fencer's Club ... Began competing nationally in ninth grade ... Just after tenth grade finished third in Juniors at Summer nationals ... That jumpstarted a "greater thirst for competition" ...
