Bulldogs home for Vassar and Sacred Heart meets

NEW HAVEN, Conn. The women's fencing team will compete against Vassar and Sacred Heart University this Saturday for their first home meet of the season. Notably, the occasion will be marked by the annual Senior Day Ceremony, which will recognize captain Sarah Pak and Lucy Friedmann.

In the same meet last year, the Bulldogs were enormously successful, earning a decisive 23-4 win against Vassar and 21-6 win against Sacred Heart. Sarah Pak and Michelle Nam went undefeated against both schools, a record both are eager to repeat. Already this year the team has faced Sacred Heart, earning an 18-9 victory; Anna Zhou, Camille Pham, and Lauren Kim all went undefeated in that lineup.

The competition will take place in the Fencing Salon on the seventh floor of Payne Whitney Gymnasium. The meet against Vassar will start at 12:00pm and the meet against Sacred Heart will start at 2:00pm.
