Bulldogs Down Vassar and Detroit

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bulldogs traveled to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., this weekend and came back with two more wins in their pockets. Against Vassar, Yale posted a 23-4 victory. The Bulldogs took down first-time opponents Detroit by 26-1.

Captain Lidia Gocheva was happy with the day's results. "I am very happy with today's performance. We were clearly superior to our opponents. We are ready for the important tournaments ahead of us."

The foil squad continued its success by going undefeated for the day. The squad of Gocheva, Samantha Attwood and Jillian Liu did not drop a single bout to either Vassar or Detroit (18-0). The epee squad of Rebecca Moss, Abigail Fraeman and Tasha Garcia went undefeated against Detroit but went 6-3 against Vassar. Sabre posted consistent results by going 8-1 against both Vassar and Detroit. The squad was comprised of Katherine Arden, Farrah Kimovec and Jennifer Ivers.

The Bulldogs head to New York City next weekend for what promises to be a challenging NYU invitational.
