Bulldogs Drop Bout to Quakers, 18-9

Despite a 3-0 shutout from Erica Korb in epee, the Elis fell to Penn 18-9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Yale was hurt by a 9-0 Penn shutout in saber.

Yale's Alisa Mendelsohn had a 2-1 day in foil, helping the foil team to a 5-4 victory, the only one for Yale in the competition. Despite Korb's 3-0 performance, epee lost 4-5 to the Quakers, while the saber team could not win any matches.

The Elis will return home to host Columbia University next Saturday in Payne Whitney Gym.
