Bulldogs Lose to Harvard, 20-7

ITHACA, NY - After a match against UPenn, the Bulldogs lost 7-21 to Harvard, a squad which boasts five returning First Team All Ivy selections.

"We regrouped and agreed we would be more supportive of each other and be more enthusiastic," captain Isadora Botwinick said. "We had a better energy level for Harvard."

The Bulldogs improved their performance from their first match, earning seven victories against the Crimson.

Yale's epee squad fell to the Crimson 7-2, aided by Botwinick's two victories. The Bulldog's came up winless in foil, a weapon in which they faced strong competition from two returning First Team All Ivy selections.

In sabre, the Bulldogs topped Harvard 5-4. Erin Frey was undefeated, and Carly Guss posted two victories to put Yale on top. Both Guss and Frey defeated returning First Team All Ivy team member Alex Weingarden. Frey topped returning member Carolyn Wright.
