Guss, Mendelsohn, Schawlowski Qualify For NCAAs

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale had three fencers qualify for the NCAA Championships this afternoon at the NCAA Regionals at the Lanman Center on the Yale campus. Alisa Mendelsohn and Diana Schawlowski earned a spot in the foil, while Carly Guss qualified in the saber.
The NCAA Championship is Mar. 17-20 at Rice University in Houston.
Mendelsohn was fifth in the foil, Schawlowski was seventh in the foil, and Guss placed third in the saber.
Other Bulldogs who competed were Jessica Dobbins, who was 23rd in the foil, Erin Frey, who was 12th in the saber, Erica Korb, who was 11th in the epee, Isadora Botwinick, who was 14th in the epee and Katie Burghardt, who was 28th in the epee.
