Moss 24th After Day One At NCAA Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Epeeist Rebecca Moss won three out of the 11 bouts she fenced during rounds one through four at the 2007 NCAA Fencing Championships in Madison, N.J. Saturday. The freshman from Mesa, Ariz. recorded a -24 indicator, scoring 34 touches while receiving 58.

Moss has had an impressive rookie campaign for the Bulldogs. She placed 14th at the Junior Olympics, fourth at the IFA Championships and, most recently, eighth at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships.

Fencing continues Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. with rounds 5-7. The Women's Gold Medal Bouts will commence at 2 p.m.
