Yale Women Finish 14th Overall at NCAAs

The women's fencers finished 14th overall as a team at the NCAAs, held at Brandeis College. Erica Korb finished 11th in the epee, while Alisa Mendelsohn came in 14th in the foil.

Korb, who was Yale's top fencer in the epee category all season, won 13 duels overall, earning a .565 winning percentage and finishing 11th overall in the women's epee. Wayne State's Anna Garina won the event with 20 wins.

In foil, Mendelsohn won 9 of her battles to achieve a .391 percentage and 14th place out of 24 fencers. Alicja Kryczalo from Notre Dame won 21 to take the competition.

The Elis sent no one to compete in saber, but Valerie Providenza from Notre Dame was the champion.

The men's competition is set to start on Saturday.
