Gillece, the 2005 captain, has been a steady performer for the Bulldogs for the past three seasons. She appeared in 10 games last year, making one start. She was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad for the second year in a row. Gillece appeared in 10 games as a sophomore, picking up her first career goal Oct. 22 at Holy Cross. She made an immediate impact in her rookie season, when her 17 starts were the most by a freshman. She has participated in the USFHA Futures program since 1996, including the National Futures Tournament in 2001 and 2002. At Moorestown High School, she was an all-state, all-South Jersey and all-league selection. She also played in the New Jersey Garden State games. Why Yale? Aside from the fact that Yale is the most prestigious university in the world, has the most beautiful campus, and houses the best educational opportunities, I was struck on my official visit by the students' friendliness and the overall welcoming atmosphere. It was love at first sight for me!
