Rivkin appeared in 15 games last season, scoring three goals - including both of Yale's goals in a 2-1 win at Georgetown. She was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad for the third season in a row. Rivkin appeared in 13 games as a sophomore, contributing a game-winning goal in her last one, a 2-1 win at Fairfield. As a freshman, she was the recipient of Yale's Senior Award. She has been part of the USFHA Futures Program since 1999, participating in the national tournament in 2000. At Scarsdale High School, she was a two-time all-state selection and was a three-time all-section and all-league honoree. Rivkin, who has been selected as a member of the Pi Alpha Theta history honors society, interned with the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York this past summer. Coach Stuper: "Katie's love and passion for Yale and Yale Field Hockey is second to none. Our most experienced attacker, she has great off ball awareness which helps our strikers generate movement on attack. Katie's tips and touches in the circle make her dangerous." Favorite Field Hockey Moment(s): The perfect corner tip into the goal against American and sitting with my teammates and watching Olympic field hockey matches at sunset in Athens.

Why Yale? Because of the spirit of community; because of my fabulous friends and brilliant mentors who consistently challenge and inspire; and because of The Game, the music library in Sterling, lunch at the long table in TD, Mory's cups, Pepe's Pizza, Handsome Dan and, of course, Pam Stuper.
