Halfon is one of Yale's top offensive threats. Last year she was second on the team in assists with seven and third in points with 13. Against Stanford she scored the game-winning goal, and she had two assists against both Fairfield and Sacred Heart. In addition she was named to the NFHCA Academic All-America squad. As a sophomore Halfon led the team lead in points (21) and was second in goals (7) and assists (7). Her 21 points tied her for seventh in the Ivy League and her seven assists tied her for fifth. She had three two-goal games, against Boston College, Quinnipiac and Rhode Island. As a freshman, Halfon immediately jumped into a key role. She scored the game-winning goal against Columbia. At The Governor's School for Government and International Studies, Halfon was a two-time all-region selection in field hockey. She was also a member of the soccer team. In 1999 and 2000 she competed in the National Futures Tournament. In the summer of 2002, she became a certified EMT.
