Her confidence and composure in the midfield have made us a solid team on both sides of the ball. Our most experienced corner striker, we look for Heather to lead the team's corner unit in scoring." Notes: Orrico is Yale's captain for 2006. Her brother, C.J., was the captain of the Yale baseball team in 2005. 2005: Orrico started all 17 games for the Bulldogs. She scored three goals, including the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Sacred Heart. Orrico was named first-team All-Ivy and first-team Dartfish/NFHCA Mideast All-Region. In addition, she was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Team, as well as earning Academic All-Ivy honors. She was also selected for USA Field Hockey's New England EPTC Training Squad. 2004: Orrico started all 17 games, picking up one assist. Over the summer she was selected to train at USA Field Hockey's Elite Performance Training Center. 2003: Orrico appeared in 16 games, starting 12, and was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Team. High School: At Pomperaug High School, Orrico helped lead the team to division and conference championships in each of her four years, and a state championship as the team captain in 2002. She also participated in the Futures Elite program and the Connecticut regional field hockey squad. She participated in the U.S. Field Hockey Olympic Development B-Camp, the USFHA FDIC camp, the National Futures Tournament and the 2003 Holland Tour. Orrico was named one of the top five players in the state by the Hartford Courant, and was a two-time all-state selection. She was named a regional All-American in 2002.

Why Yale? Yale embodies the perfect combination of academics and athletics. I could not have picked a better place to go to school. I have met lifetime friends, learned many lessons both inside and outside the classroom, and have had a lot of fun while doing it!
Career Aspiration: To be honest I have no idea, but I hope that whatever I do I am happy, and that I make a difference, no matter how big or small.
