Worthington started a career-high 15 games last fall and established herself as one of the team's most reliable defenders. In her sophomore year she had a breakthrough season. After appearing in only one game as a freshman, she played in 15 as a sophomore, including making four starts. At the Kent Place School, she captained her team to the conference, sectional, and county championship, earning her the team's defensive MVP award and all-conference, all-Union and NJFHCA first team honors. Worthington also played lacrosse and was the team captain her junior and senior years. In the summer of 2000, she trained and competed in Holland with the Sport Eurotour.
"Brooke is a great defender, playing one of the toughest positions in the game, left back. She has a strong work ethic in combination with a great sense of humor. Her actions are very purposeful, no question that she knows what she wants and goes after it."
