Bulldogs Fall 4-0 at No. 15 William & Mary

Williamsburg, VA - No. 15 William & Mary outshot Yale 29-1 en route to a 4-0 win Friday night. Elizabeth Friedlander made 17 saves in the loss.

The win is W&M's third straight, and improved the Tribe's record to 4-2. Yale drops to 1-3 with the loss.

Maggie Long scored the eventual game-winning goal, the first of her career, in the 22nd minute to give the Green and Gold a 1-0 lead.

Despite peppering the Yale goal throughout the game, it took nearly 35 minutes before William & Mary could score again. Jessica Kacerek scored on a penalty corner in the 57th minute to put the Tribe ahead 2-0. The Tribe added two more goals for the 4-0 final.

In addition to the shot edge, William & Mary had 13 penalty corners to the Bulldogs' zero. W&M goalkeeper Gwen Hunter made one save, as she earned her second shutout of the season. Ali Rotondo added a defensive save for the Bulldogs.

Yale visits Virginia Commonwealth Sunday at 1:00 PM.
