Worcester, MA - Harriet Thayer's goal in the 41st minute propelled Yale to a 2-1 win at Holy Cross Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs outshot the Crusaders 14-2, including 9-1 in the first half, but fell behind 1-0 just 2:40 into the game before Thayer and Trish Bissett scored to complete the comeback. Both goals were unassisted.
Elizabeth Friedlander made one save for the Bulldogs (2-5), who snapped a five-game losing skid with the victory. Sony Kuhn made 10 saves for Holy Cross (4-5).
Yale hosts UConn Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
