NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sarah Driscoll scored the game-winning goal at 9:01 of the second overtime and Bulldog goalkeeper Krissy Nesburg made numerous outstanding saves, including one on a penalty stroke in the first overtime, as Yale defeated Dartmouth, 3-2, at Johnson Field on Saturday afternoon. Yale has won four of its last five games and improves to 5-5 on the season and 2-1 in Ivy League play.

Meredith Hudson and Jana Halfon also scored for the Bulldogs, who held a 15-5 advantage in penalty corners. Halfon scored the game-tying, unassisted goal with 12:18 left in regulation to send the game to overtime.

Nesburg was spectacular in goal, making nine saves in the game and four in overtime. Nesburg stopped Ashley Choren on a penalty stroke less than 30 seconds into the first overtime to keep her team in the game.

Yale trailed for most of the game and never had the lead until Driscoll scored the game-winner on an assist from Hudson.

"Our perseverance was outstanding," said Yale Head Coach Ainslee Lamb. "We never gave up."

Jessica Saraceno and Audrey Knutson had the Dartmouth goals.

Yale returns to action tomorrow at home, against Bucknell, at 2 p.m.
