HAMDEN, Conn. - Yale shut out Quinnipiac 2-0 behind 10 saves from Kate Crandall and goals from Cat Lindroth and Katie Rivkin Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs have now won three in a row and have held their opponents to one goal or no goals in four of their last five games.
Quinnipiac (9-7) had four penalty corners to just one for Yale (6-8) in the first half, but Crandall kept the Bobcats off the board and the game was scoreless at halftime. Rivkin got one past QU goalkeeper Erin McKay (four saves) in the 44th minute, and Lindroth knocked in a rebound of her own shot just over five minutes later. Crandall and the Bulldog defense took care of the rest.
Yale returns to action Sunday at Penn at Noon.
