PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - A goal by Penn's Kristen Gray with 2:06 to play gave the Quakers a 1-0 win over Yale Sunday afternoon at Franklin Field. Kate Crandall made six saves in goal for the Bulldogs, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
Yale (6-9) outshot the Quakers (8-6) 5-2 in the first half despite a 5-2 edge for Penn in penalty corners. The shot edge turned in favor of the Quakers in the second period, 9-3, but Crandall made five saves that period. The game-winning goal came on a penalty corner, with Lea Salese assisting Gray.
Five of Yale's nine losses on the season have been by one goal.
The Bulldogs play Columbia in Hoboken, N.J. next Saturday at 1 p.m.
