Bissett Named To Canadian Under-21 National Team

March 1, 2004

New Haven, Conn. - Yale women's field hockey player Trish Bissett (Vancouver, BC) has been selected to the Canadian Under-21 National Team. Bissett will travel with the team to Brisbane, Australia, in April in order to prepare for the 2005 Junior World Cup in Chile.

"Trish did absolutely everything she could to be afforded this fantastic honor," Yale head coach Ainslee Lamb said. "Our program is very fortunate to have her as a part of it. Trish's national pursuits, in addition to being exciting for her, will certainly promote the growth of the Yale program."

Bissett, a freshman, was the Bulldogs' fifth leading scorer in 2003 with 11 points, despite missing four games due to injury. She was named Ivy Rookie of the Week three times, and earned Honorable Mention All-Ivy recognition.

Prior to Yale, Bissett was co-captain of the British Columbia Under-18 team and the BC Under-18 touring squad that traveled to Ireland.
