Three Bulldogs Attending Olympic Development B Camp

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three Yale field hockey players - Elizabeth Friedlander (Milwaukee, WI), Heather Orrico (Southbury, CT) and Harriet Thayer (Briarcliff Manor, NY) - are attending the U.S. Field Hockey Olympic Development B-Camp.
Friedlander, a goalkeeper who earned a spot by attending the USFHA College Open Camp, has participated in the USFHA B-camp and the National Futures Tournament. At the University School, she was a first team all-state selection, leading the squad to the conference crown. A sophomore, she is a candidate to replace Krissy Nesburg '04 in goal for the Bulldogs this fall.
Orrico, a sophomore, earned a spot by participating in the USFHA Summer League. She started 12 games for the Bulldogs last fall and has participated in the USFHA FDIC camp, National Futures Tournament and the 2003 Holland Tour.
Thayer, who joins the Yale squad this fall, made it to B-Camp via the USFHA National Futures Tournament. She is a member of the Thoroughbreds Club program and also attended the U.S. Olympic FDIC Development Camp at Babson College earlier this summer.
