Catherine Lindroth was honored Tuesday as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for her performance last weekend against Brown. Lindroth scored the second goal of her collegiate career on an unassisted tally seven minutes into play to give the Bulldogs a crucial first half goal that would lead to Yale's eventual 3-2 overtime victory.
Lindroth began her season playing defense for the Bulldogs but was moved up to forward to fill in for an injured Trish Bissett. Lindroth transitioned quickly to the new position, and ended up finishing the season with two goals and two assists for six points.
A native of Farmington, Connecticut, Lindroth was a three-time team MVP at Miss Porter's School. She also made the New England All-Star team and was named all-league three times. She has participated in the U-16 National Futures Tournament, the U-19 National Futures Tournament, and the National Field Hockey Festival in addition to captaining the Futures Elite team.
