Seniors Sarah Driscoll and Meredith Hudson each were named to All-Region Teams by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Driscoll was named first team All-Mideast and Hudson was named second team All-Mideast. Both were the only members of Yale's senior class to have started all 71 games of their college careers.
Driscoll, a midfielder, was also a unanimous first team All-Ivy selection in 2004. She is Yale's all time leader in assists with 42. Driscoll finished her senior season second on the team total points with 12 (3 goals, 6 assists). Two of her goals were the game-winning and game-tying goals in Yale's November 7 victory at Brown.
Hudson was also honored by the Ivy League this year as a second team All-Ivy selection. A striker on Yale's attack penalty corners, Hudson finished tied for third on the team in points with eight off of three goals and two assists. She was named an honorable mention All-Ivy selection in 2003 and 2002.
Driscoll is now a candidate for the NFHCA's All-America team which will be announced the week of November 22.
