Bulldogs Take Sixth at Nittany Lion Invite

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The women's golf team finished Sunday right where they started it -- sixth overall -- as play concluded at the 54-hole Nittany Lion Invitational. The Bulldogs finished just one stroke behind Harvard and William and Mary, who tied for fourth, and 13 strokes off the pace set by the host Nittany Lions -- the tournament's winners. Seo Hee Moon, Yale's standout freshman, took third overall among individuals, shooting a Sunday best 71 to pace the Bulldogs.

Yale's next best individual finisher was senior Harriet Owers-Bradley, whose 74 in the final round marked her best round of the tournament. She and teammate Alex Lipa, both of whom were 16-over through their three rounds, tied for 28th. Captain Alyssa Roland and fellow Bulldog Joy Kim finished three strokes behind Owers-Bradley and Lipa at +19, good for 37th overall, and Callie Kemmer also turned in a strong performance, tying for 55th in the field with a Sunday round of 78.

The tournament's individual champion was Rollins' Fabia Rothenfluh, who finished at just +2 for the weekend. Penn State's Emily Ransone took second at +3, just edging Moon (+4).

The Bulldogs have a week off before their next competition, the October 16th Harvard Invitational at the International Club in Bolton, Mass.
