Weather Cancels Final Round at Hoya Invitational, Bulldogs Take Second in 36 Holes

BELLESVILLE, M.D. - The Yale women's golf team finished in second-place at the Hoya Invitational after 36 holes Monday. The final round - scheduled for Tuesday - was canceled due to weather. With a combined score of 627, the Bulldogs are just four behind leaders Southeastern Nova University, but nine full strokes ahead of third-place Princeton. Freshman Sun Gyoung Park and senior Harriet Owers-Bradley led the way for Yale, both shooting a two-round score of 155 (+11). 

Freshman Seo Hee Moon heads to Tuesday's action tied for ninth at +13, while captain Alyssa Roland sits tied for 17th at +16. Sophomore Joy Kim is just three strokes behind Roland, tied for 28th. After a tough first round, junior Lily Boettcher - competing as an individual - turned in a strong second round on the par-72 Members Club course.

The Bulldogs are back in action at the Brown Bear Invitational in Rhode Island this weekend - their final tune-up before the Ivy League Championships April 22-24.
