PROVIDENCE, R.I. - In its final tuneup before the Ivy League Championships, the Yale women's golf team finished fourth on a windy Monday at the Brown Bear Invitational. Freshman Seo Hee Moon and captain Alyssa Roland tied for the Bulldogs' top scoring performances, each shooting a combined 146 for the tournament, good for third overall individually. Ivy League rivals Princeton and Harvard went 1-2 for the 36-hole competition, as Yale finished 12 behind the Tigers' winning 589.
Moon shot the Bulldogs' best round of the tournament, an opening-day 71. Her classmate Sun Gyoung Park shot 152, tied for 17th overall, while seniors Harriet Owers-Bradley (158) and Cassie Boles (161) rounded out Coach Chawwadee Rompothong '00's competing five.
On the individual side of things, Yale's sophomores had a solid weekend, as Joy Kim's rounds of 74 and 75 saw her tie for tenth, and Alex Lipa's big second-day push (74) moved her into a tie for 24th. Junior Lily Boettcher fired a combined 162, good for a tie for 40th.
The Bulldogs' next action comes at the Ivy League Championships, April 22-24, where they will get another shot at Princeton, Harvard, and the rest of the Ancient Eight.
