The Yale women's golf team heads to Providence, R.I. Sunday for the Brown Invitational, its final regular season tournament. The Bulldogs are coming off an eighth place finish at Georgetown's Hoya Invitational last weekend, and after a midweek return to New Haven have a quick turnaround to Providence for Saturday's practice round.
Unsurprisingly, it was sophomores Sun Gyoung Park and Seo Hee Moon leading the way for Yale last weekend. Park finished 13th in the individual standings, while Moon also posted a top-20 finish, placing 16th. Sophomore Joy Kim finished tied for 30th, though in a packed field that saw her just six strokes behind Park.
Yale should look to build on the momentum it garnered in the final round in Gaithersburg, which was their best of the three-round tournament by some 14 strokes and impressive in the context of the entire field. Had the Bulldogs shot to the pace they played in that round throughout the tournament, they would have finished just one stroke behind winner Old Dominion.
