Galloway, N.J. - After a windy first day at the Ivy League Championships, the defending champion Yale women's golf team sits in second, just two strokes behind Penn for the lead. Sophomore Sun Gyoung Park and junior Alex Lipa led the way for the Bulldogs, as Park (2nd) and Lipa (T-4th) are both in the top five in the individual standings heading into Saturday's second round.

Winds gusting over 20 mph were a problem for all, but the Bulldogs handled them better than most, and sit four strokes ahead of third-place Harvard. While Park (78) and Lipa (80) led the way, sophomore Seo Hee Moon and captain Lily Boettcher (85) are within striking distance of the top ten, tied for thirteenth. Freshman Shreya Ghei (88) is tied for 25th.

Yale returns to the course Saturday for another 18 holes before Sunday's final round. Park will try to chase down Harvard's Bonnie Hu, who is just one stroke ahead of Park for the overall individual lead.
