Looking Ahead to Lady Pirate Intercollegiate
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The Yale women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Sept. 28-30 Nittany Lion Invitational in ninth place overall, putting in a consistent performance against a tough field at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.
Up from Friday's 12th place close, the Bulldogs climbed up the leaderboard to end the tournament in ninth, at 907 through three days of play. The Nittany Lion Invitational is traditionally one of the most competitive tournaments Yale competes in during the fall season, with many other strong teams in the field.
Leading the way for the Yale team was junior Seo Hee Moon, who finished in a tie for 13th place after shooting 222 across her three rounds. Not far behind were sophomore Shreya Ghei and junior Sun Gyoung Park, who finished in a tie for 33rd and 38th, respectively.
Next weekend, Yale will travel to the Oct. 7-9 Lady Pirate Intercollegiate at the Greenville Country Club in Greenville, N.C. Following that, it will compete at the Oct. 20-21 Lehigh Invitational at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
