Yale in Fifth After Day One
11 Strokes From Lead
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — One round of play into its final fall tournament, the Yale women's golf team sits in fifth place at the Oct. 20-21 Lehigh Invitational.
It was a difficult day out at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa., and the Bulldogs closed with 312 overall, 11 strokes behind tournament leader Rutgers.
Still, several of the Yale golfers notched up strong performances. Leading the way was junior Seo Hee Moon, who fired 75 (+3) to return to the clubhouse in a tie for fifth place, just three strokes behind the tournament leader.
Close behind Moon was sophomore Shreya Ghei, who put up a 78 (+8) to go into the final round in a tie for 13th.
Following the Lehigh Invitational, the Bulldogs will break from competition until the spring season kicks off with a tournament in Florida in March. The golfers will play one final round Sunday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
