Yale Heads to C&F Bank Intercollegiate
Looks to Build Momentum After Lehigh Victory
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Spring competition will kick into full gear this weekend for the Yale women's golf team, which will compete at the Mar. 17-18 C&F Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary.
They enter this 28-team tournament—a crowded and highly competitive field that includes Ivy League rivals Columbia and Penn—on the heels of victory at the Mar. 11 Lehigh Palm Beach Invitational at the Lost Tree Golf Course, Jupiter, Fla. There, the Bulldogs beat out Lehigh and Richmond.
As part of that result, sophomore Marika Liu and junior Seo Hee Moon tied for second individually. And sophomore Shreya Ghei and junior Sun Gyoung Park were not far behind, finishing in sixth and eighth place, respectively.
The Yale team will look to build on its earlier performance at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate. Golfers will have to contend with the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., the same course that hosts the LPGA Kingsmill Championship each year. The course plays at par-71 and runs just over 6,000 yards.
Golfers will tee off starting at 7:45 a.m. Sunday and competition will continue with tee times beginning at 7:45 a.m. Monday.
