Golfers Fight Through Cold and Rain
Rough Weather Besets Course
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. —The Yale women's golf team fought through rain and sleet Sunday to end the day in a tie for sixth place here at the Mar. 17-18 C&F Bank Intercollegiate.
Hosted by William & Mary, the 28-team tournament here at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., is challenging the Bulldogs with both weather and the course's difficulty. Yale ended the day's round at 313, just 11 shots behind tournament leader Boston College (302) and substantially ahead of Ivy League rivals Columbia (326) and Penn (329).
Several Yale golfers managed to battle effectively against the cold to end the day well position for the next two days of the competition. Junior Seo Hee Moon, tied for 11th place with a 76 round, leads the way, and is closely followed by sophomore Marika Liu, who shot 77 to finish the day in a tie for 15th place.
