Golfers Head to Brown Invitational

Last Tournament Before Ivy League Championship

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — On the heels of a second-place finish at the Apr. 8-9 Hoya Invitational, the Yale women's golf team will travel to Barrington, R.I., to compete at the Apr. 14-15 Brown Invitational.

The Brown competition, held this year at the Rhode Island Country Club, is the Bulldogs' final opportunity to tune-up before the Apr. 26-28 Ivy League Championship at Trump National in Bedminster, N.J.

They will enter the Brown Invitational with momentum from their strong result at the Hoya Invitational. There, two golfers—sophomore Shreya Ghei and junior Seo Hee Moon—finished in the top 10 individually as the Bulldogs clinched second place.

The Bulldogs will thus look to build on their performance last year at the Brown Invitational, where they finished in fourth place despite shooting the second day low round. Moon was Yale's best performer at last year's tournament, finishing in fourth overall.

This year's Brown Invitational will feature 14 teams including Ancient Eight rivals Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth and Harvard. Golfers will play through the par-72, 6,012 yard course at the Rhode Island Country Club.

Players will tee off starting at 11 a.m. Sunday, and Monday's round will begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
