Three Bulldogs Earn Ivy League Honors
Trio of Top-10 Finishes
BEDMINSTER, N.J. — A trio of top-10 finishes by members of the Yale women's golf team earned the three golfers All-Ivy honors, as the Bulldogs claimed third place at the Apr. 26-28 Ivy League Championship.
After closing the first round of play in fifth play, sophomores Shreya Ghei and Marika Liu and junior Seo Hee Moon were instrumental in bringing the Bulldogs back into contention on the second day of competition. Together, the three golfers and their teammates managed to secure a third-place finish for Yale.
Liu fired a final-round 72—the second lowest round of the day—to close at +7, in outright third place. That result earned her first-team All-Ivy honors.
Moon also earned first-team All-Ivy honors, wrapping up competition at +12 to secure outright fifth place. Four strokes back, Ghei finished in ninth place to earn second-team All-Ivy honors.
This is not the first time Moon has received awards for her performance within the Ivy League. As a freshman, she was voted both the Ivy League Player of the Year and the Ivy League Rookie of the Year by the Ancient Eight coaches. That year, she finished in outright third at the Ivy League Championships to take home first-time All-Ivy honors.
First-team All-Ivy honors are awarded the top five finishers at the Ivy League Championship, while second-team All-Ivy honors go to the next five golfers.
