Yale Hoping to Continue Season
RINGOES, N.J. --The Yale women's golf team, hoping to earn a spot in an NCAA Regional, competes for the Ivy League Championship on April 19-21. The three-day event takes place at the Ridge at Back Brook, a par-72, 6,042-yard course.
The Ridge at Back Brook was named the Best Private Course in New Jersey by GolfStyles Magazine in 2016.
Senior captain Julie Luo leads the Bulldogs this weekend. First years Ami Gianchandani and Coco Chai are the players to watch at this event. Gianchandani has 5 top-10 finishes and has won three tournaments. Chai finished among the top 10 three times this spring. She had her best overall finish at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, where she placed 3rd.
Last season, the Bulldogs finished sixth at the Ivy Championship. Princeton claimed victory while Harvard's Michelle Xie took the individual title.
The tournament begins its first round of play Friday at 9 am. Results and recaps will be posted daily. Follow the action during the rounds with LiveStats.
