Bulldogs Move into Sixth Place Heading into Final Round

KANE'OHE, Hawaii - Yale had a strong second round at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, shooting a team score of 315. That was the fifth-lowest round of the day and moves the Bulldogs into 6th place.

Ellen Brophy led Yale with a round of 76, moving her two-day total to 154 and placing her in a five-way tie for 14th. Cassie Boles rebounded with a 10-stroke improvement from Monday to shoot a 77. Lindsay Hong, Erica Im and Natasha Spackey rounded out Yale's five person team with scores of 80, 82 and 83 respectively.

On the individual side, Taylor Lee shot a round of 80 and finished in a five-way tie for 19th. Alyssa Roland shot an 83 and Harriet Owers-Bradley shot an 82.

Oklahoma State University fought back to tie for first place with the University of Arizona. Arizona State remained in third and the University of Hawaii was able to surpass The University of Texas El Paso for fourth, after El Paso shot a high round of 320.

The final round will be played Wednesday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
