Yale Leads William and Mary Invitational

Cindy Shin and the Yale women's golf team stand in first place overall at the William and Mary Invitational, leading host William and Mary by one stroke with a team score of 307. Shin shot a +1 73.

Yale's January Romero was second for the Elis and in 8th place overall, having shot a 36 and 40 in her first round. Jessica Shapiro shot 39 on the front and back nine to tie for 22nd, while Lauren Ressler posted scores of 38 and 42 for 37th place.

Captain Stephanie Wei shot a 41 and a 40 to round out the Yale team.

The second day of action looks to be an exciting one, with the top 5 teams separated by only 5 strokes.
