Princeton, NJ - Yale finished in second place out of seventeen teams at the Princeton Women's Invitational on Sunday, shooting a two-round total of 625. Princeton, who hosted the tournament at the Springdale Golf Course, won the title by 20 strokes over the Bulldogs.
Yale's January Romero tied for second place with a five-over 149 for the tournament, shooting rounds of 73 and 76. Only the Tigers' Sharla Cloutier shot better, finishing with a one-over 145 to win the individual title. Cloutier's final round of 69 included an ace on the 13th hole.
The Bulldogs also saw impressive play from Ellie Brophy, who finished in sixth place with an eight-over 152. After Romero and Brophy, Lindsay Hong (81-79-160) tied for 17th, Cindy Shin (81-83-164) tied for 36th, and Lauren Ressler (84-88-172) tied for 56th.
The Bulldogs return to action this weekend when they host the Yale Intercollegiate at the Yale Golf Course.
