Cindy Shin Wins Yale Golf Invitational

Shooting a two-over-par 72 today, Yale freshman Cindy Shin edged out Princeton's Meg Nakamura, winning the Yale Invitational by two strokes with a 148 over 36 holes.

The Bulldogs took second place with 617 points, five strokes back from Princeton.

With a 152 over two rounds, Yale's Lauren Ressler came in fourth place, tied with Princeton's Sharla Cloutier. Carmen Zimmer took three strokes off her first round score, ending up tied for 14th with a score of 159.

Rounding out Yale's top foursome, January Romero simproved seven strokes from her first round 84, shooting a 77 to finish the tournament in 18th place overall.
