Elis Edge Richmond to Take Yale Invitational

After close competition at the Yale Women's Golf Invitational, the Elis edged out the University of Richmond in a playoff to take home first place. The Elis finished with 650 strokes, just two ahead of third-place Georgetown and four below Rollins in a tightly-contested tournament.

The Elis were led by Ellie Brophy, who finished fifth overall after shooting a two-round score of 159.

January Romero tied for sixth with 160 strokes, and Cindy Shin and Lauren Ressler shot a 155 and 156 to finish 13th and 16th, respectively. Yale's Lindsay Hong shot a 170 to round out Yale's lineup.

After 36 holes of play, the Bulldogs were tied with the University of Richmond, but defeated the team in a playoff.

The Elis travel to the Georgia State Invitational next weekend.
