Shooting rounds of 80 and 79, Lauren Ressler finished with a 159 and earned first place at the Harvard Invitational, held on Cape Cod. The Bulldogs battled back from being three strokes out of first place after the first day and won the tournament with 660 points.
The Yale golfers all had much better rounds than the first day, where they all combined to shoot a 342, three strokes back from first-place Harvard with 339. Sunday, the Elis shot a collective 318 to finish in first place.
January Romero rebounded from a tough first round, leading Yale players on Sunday with a 78. Cindy Shin shot a 79 along with Ressler, and Jessica Shapiro added an 82. Carmen Zimmer rounded out the Bulldog lineup with an 86.
Several weeks ago, the 2003 Ivy League Champion Bulldogs also came in first at their home tournament.
