Southern Pines, N.C. - The Yale women's golf team finished in fourth place this weekend at the Ross Resorts Invitational in Southern Pines, NC. Host team Rollins College won the event and Ivy rivals Princeton and Harvard took second and third place respectively.
This is the second time this fall that Yale has finished behind both Harvard and Princeton in an event. The last time this happened was at the Yale Intercollegiate, which the Bulldogs hosted at the Course at Yale. The Elis will be in for a tough test to repeat as Ivy Champions when the spring season arrives in March.
Still, the Bulldogs finished up a strong fall this weekend in South Carolina. Yale played in four tournaments, finishing in 6th at the Dartmouth Invitational, 2nd at the Nittany Lion Invitational, 3rd at the Yale Intercollegiate, and 4th place this weekend.
At the Ross Resorts Invitational, Yale shot 622 over the two-day tournament, led by Captain Cindy Shin who shot rounds of 75 and 77 and finished tied for 8th place.
The Bulldogs next return to action when they begin their spring season with a trip to Gainesville, Florida for the Lady Gator Invitational.
