Bulldogs Head to Maryland to Compete at the Hoya Invitational

March 29, 2008

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs are heading to Maryland to compete at the Hoya Invitational, hosted by Georgetown. Yale placed second in this event last year and has four of its five players returning -- senior captain Ellen Brophy, sophomore Taylor Lee, senior Lindsay Hong and junior Natasha Spackey.

The lone player lost to graduation was last year's captain, Cindy Shin, who tied for runner-up in this event.

Yale is coming off a strong finish last week at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational. The Bulldogs placed sixth, finishing behind the host school and three top-10 teams. They hope to build on that momentum this weekend when they tee off on Monday.
