As a junior, Lombardi competed on vault, bars, and beam in almost every meet. At the Towson tri-meet, she had a stellar day with two season high scores on vault (9.4) and beam (9.625). Her latter score was the second highest of the team that day. Then at the WVU quad-meet, she turned in a beautiful bar performance for a career high 9.75, which was a team high.
In the 2005-2006 season, Lombardi competed on bars, beam, and floor. During her first beam performance, she scored a 9.575, tying for second highest on the team. On bars against Rhode Island, she earned a 9.375, which was the third highest Yale score. At the end of the season, she was honored as ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Due to an injury, Lombardi was unable to compete throughout her freshman year.
Lombardi joined the Bulldogs from Branch Gymnastics. As a level 9, she was 2003 State champion on bars and in the all-around. She also won bars at the Region V Championships and Eastern National Championships. In her senior year, she was a level 10 and won beam at State and qualified for Regionals. Lombardi graduated as valedictorian from Lakeview High School.
