NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After posting its highest score of the season, a 189.950, against Springfield and Rhode Island College last weekend, the Yale gymnastics team travels to Rutgers on Saturday. Towson will join the Bulldogs for the tri-meet.
This season, Rutgers is averaging a score of 189.530, but the Scarlet Knights have broken 190.000 in their last two meets. Last Saturday, Rutgers fell to Cornell 192.675-190.950 but defeated Brockport in a tri-meet. On Feb. 27, the Scarlet Knights placed second in a four-way meet at home, scoring a 190.875 and falling to Bridgeport.
Towson, the defending ECAC champion, has won two out of its last three meets, losing only to Bridgeport in a four-way meet last Friday. The Tigers scored a 193.075 at the competition, breaking 193.000 for the second straight week.
Competition begins at 1:00 p.m. at Rutgers’ Livingstone Gym.
