NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following an exceptional performance in the Bulldog Invitational last Saturday, senior Tara Feld was presented with the weekly ECAC Coaches Choice Award.

Feld, who hails from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, has been a very successful gymnast for the Bulldogs throughout her entire career despite contending with a troublesome wrist injury.  Finally back at full strength, Feld has had an excellent senior season and her performance in Saturday's meet, which happened to be Yale's Senior Day, was one of her best.  Feld finished second overall on the vault and tied the school record of 9.850 that she had set during her freshman year.  She tied her personal best on the floor exercise as well, earning a 9.850 and scored a 9.625 on the beam.  The official ECAC release described her as, "a very dedicated young woman…[with] the desire to overcome all her adversity to try regain her competitive edge."

Thanks in large part to Feld's performance, the Bulldogs finished second of the four teams in the Bulldog Invitational, with a season-high score of 191.325.
