Kovary brings great talent and power to the Yale team, though she was continuously hampered by injuries in her freshman year.
Before coming to Yale, she was a member of the three-time state champion gymnatics team from New York. She was named MVP of her high school team as a junior and earned all-state honors her junior and senior years. Kovary trained at Exper-Tiess Gymnastics and is a graduate of Walt Whitman High School.
