John Lavallee enters his third year at Yale after having been a part owner and director of the Sterling Academy of Gymnastics in Massachusetts for the previous 11 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree from Springfield College. As an undergraduate, he earned All-America honors and was the team captain. He then served as graduate assistant coach. He has since coached many state, regional and national level champions at his former club, including NCAA scholarship recipients and an NCAA All-American.
